Air tasers and Stun Guns- Protecting Yourself

Stun devices are currently in use by thousands of private citizens as they meet a need for personal defense. The businessman or woman going to or coming from work, the senior citizen taking a morning walk or the jogger - average men and women in average situations. They depend on their stun guns or Air Tasers while shopping, going out for an evening of entertainment, walking across the campus, or just answering the doorbell.

Air Tasers have been used by law enforcement for years, and are now considered an excellent choice for protection for the individual as well. Carried on your person or in your car, you gain an immeasurable margin of safety from attackers that can threaten you and your family. Attacker's strike without warning when you least expect it, so you must be prepared! For homeowner's protection, it is the safest type of weapon to keep because it is less likely to accidentally cause harm to children or others. In addition, you won't need to hesitate when using a Taser Weapon as opposed to a deadly handgun when confronted face-to-face by an intruder. Intruders and intruder's families have been known to sue homeowners and win jury trials after homeowners wound or kill them while in the act of breaking and entering, which is another form of victimization best avoided.

The use of stun guns is many-fold. One effective way is to use them primarily as a deterrent to a potential attacker. For example, you're involved in a road rage situation. Your attacker without hitting your car forces you off the road and exits their vehicle. Someway you are blocked in or delayed in making your escape, which would normally be your first line of defense. During this time the mere possession of a stun gun with it's rather aggressive cracking energy band buzzing across the electrodes can be an excellent way to defuse the situation. Most attackers will think twice when faced by the potential of being shocked. Stun guns used in this manner are an excellent way to avert a potential situation without ever coming into contact with the attacker. As opposed to a lethal force, i.e. a gun; a stun gun pointed at an attacker in most situations is not a criminal act. The attacker will most likely think twice and decide on a more ill prepared victim than face the potential consequence of a stun gun. For example, pointing a pepper spray, (also highly recommended for non-lethal self-defense), at an attacker may deter them, but the physiological threat is not as great as a crackling stun gun. Because of the physiology involved between the threat of being sprayed or shocked -- we feel you are more likely to have to use a pepper spray once it's drawn - than a stun gun. The overall outcome should be the same - your ultimate safety from harm. Should you need to use your stun gun or baton, the process is rather basic. All there is to incapacitating a person involves you applying electricity to an attacker's muscles and nerves. And since there are muscles and nerves all over the body, it doesn't particularly matter where you hit an attacker with a stun device. (Visit our Training page for further tactical instructions).
